Goal
Our goal is to provide transportation to Waseca County residents who do not have access to reliable transportation to take care of their basic needs. By utilizing the services of the project, they can remain independent by taking care of their own shopping and personal business, and enabling them to attend medical facilities.

What Is The Cost?
Clients are requested to contribute toward the Cost of the Service.
Contributions
are used for the operation of the program.
Continuation of the program depends on your contribution.
Volunteer drivers are reimbursed 36.5 cents per mile with a $3.65 minimum.
For Local Bus
rides currently average $2.25 per round trip.
The cost of a bus trip is approximately $3 a round trip.
Group Rental
Bus or Van Charges, when used for non-medical purposes, will be billed at 60 cents per mile (25 mile minimum) plus $10 per hour (1 hour minimum.)
Who May use the Bus?
The bus is available to Waseca County residents without access to reliable transportation, for rides to local medical appointments and to take care of necessary personal business. Volunteer Drivers are available for medical transportation on non-bus days and to the Senior dining Sites.
Who Provides The Rides?
Our 18 passenger bus with lift, and our mini van with lift. Our volunteer drivers, registered with the Program provide out of town medical transportation and local medical rides on non-bus days.
VOLUNTEER DRIVERS
Each year the first two long distance rides are on a donation basis. Example -- Rochester or Twin Cities (anything over 100 miles round trip)
Third and consecutive appointments will be charged at the rate of 36.5 cents per mile.
People involved with a continuous treatment should check with the coordinator. (i.e. dialysis, chemotherapy, radiation or physical therapy)
Volunteer drivers are reimbursed 36.5 cents per mile -- any person who is going out of town for a medical appointment is requested to contribute towards the total cost.OUR VOLUNTEER DRIVERS ARE NOT PAID FOR THEIR TIME! Reimbursement to our volunteer drivers is for their gas and vehicle expense at a minimum of $3.65 per trip.
